Propaganda Method: Glittering Generalities
In this ad the propaganda technique of Glittering Generalities was used with the term "It'll go where you go". This is a glittering generality because this phrase could be applied to virtually any that is small enough to carry around.

Propaganda Method: Bandwagon
The propaganda technique of Bandwagon was used here with the phrase "The brand all the students are using" because it is telling the audience, other students, that this is the brand that their peers are using and therefore the should be the brand that they are using.

Figurative Imagery. Poem + Picture

Ode to Music
It lifts me up
the sound
like tendril of flame
reaching
for the stars
they are living
breathing
seeing
like a flower petal
like a seed
becoming a tree
like a letter
becoming a word
it's the sun
bathing everything is its light
or the tiny
fish in the darkest
cave
like the hand that
helps you up
then the butterfly
that flits away
the lilting notes
carry me on my
journey to the stars
and it lifts me
up

Glass Artist

A career as a Glass Artist has always seemed so fun because it's using a conventional material, glass, and adding your own twist to it using color and structure to create something new and beautiful.

Some pros of going into this career is being able to incorporate your own ideas and concepts into your work. Another pro of this career is being able to apply glass art skills to a wide range of fields such as going into interior design, specifically glass windows or into making glass sculptures to feature in museums or sell.

The California College of the Arts provides a variety of scholarships, including:

  • Creative Achievement Awards: This is awarded to high school seniors based on their academic achievement and creative ability. The award can be up to $20,000.
  • Faculty Honors Award: Available to transfer students only based on merit. Can be up to $10,000.
The program for Glass Artists at the California College of the Arts is a Bachelors program.

The common earning of someone in this career is $39,660.

One interesting fact that I learned from the college website is that there's a lot more to major in than just fashion and commercial design at art colleges. Like you could major in textiles and ceramics.
